Parent Involvement

Parents can play many roles in youth sports: current or former athlete, coach, fan, motivator, role model or critic. A few studies have shown that family members may influence an athlete’s involvement and achievement in sports more than coaches. Parents also are the driving force behind making sure our players have a positive experience playing youth baseball.  That being said, we are looking for parents to join our parent committee and help make our baseball club a positive family experience as well.  If you want to join our parent committee, please email RBC President Matt Beattie before August 1st of each year.

RBC Parent Conflict Procedure

From time to time, in working with the many individuals who are involved in a successful youth program such as ours, issues come up that may cause for concern for parents.  It is difficult for these concerns to be addressed when the parties involved have different views, backgrounds, and opinions.  The following procedure is required for players and parents to follow in order to get the issues on the table and address them.  Rams Baseball Club's goal is to address issues quickly and efficiently.

Please refrain and avoid contact until 24 hours after incident.  Should concerns remain with the RBC program, the following levels should be followed in prescribed order:

Level 1 - Player and coach.  Use discretion as appropriate for player age.

Level 2 - Player, parent and coach.

Level 3 - Player, parent, coach and player representative.

Level 4 - Player, parent, coach, player representative and RBC president.

RAMS BASEBALL CLUB – PARENTS & VOLUNTEER CONDUCT POLICY

The Rams Baseball Club organization includes many volunteers and parents who all represent our baseball club and community as a whole. We appreciate the strong partnership we have with parents and volunteers who do so much for our players to make playing baseball a positive and memorable experience. This document outlines the Rams Baseball Club expectations and accountabilities for RBC parents, volunteers, and spectators. The RBC expects full awareness of these accountabilities and consent of understanding will be completed when registering your child for our baseball club. These will be strictly enforced during the season.

  2. I will display control and good sportsmanship at all times under any circumstance.
  3. I will act at all times to protect the principles of fun, safety, protection, and development of all athletes.
  4. I will respect the rights of every person, including opponents, other coaches, officials, administrators, parents, athletes, and spectators.

I will always approach individuals in a respectful manner with the understanding that we will work together to provide clarification to any concerns that are raised.

Steps to mediate any violations of RBC Parent and/or Volunteer conduct:
